A domain name is a name used to identify a particular website on the internet. Your site’s domain name is like your mailing address: it lets people know where to find you. A good example can be iioegroup.com. When you register a domain, you pay for the right to use that specific domain for a specific period of time.

Once you have chosen your domain name you need to get blog hosting so that you can put your blog on the internet.

Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server owned or leased for use by clients, as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center.

When it comes to starting a blog, your biggest decision will be whether you want to host the blog yourself, or use a free blogging service.
